The 1st EurAsian Conference on Advances in Information and Communication Technology (EurAsia ICT 2002) took place in Iran, aiming to unite researchers from academia and industry to discuss the latest developments in ICT across Europe and Asia. The conference facilitated the exchange of ideas through keynote addresses, research presentations, and discussions, fostering inspiration and innovation among attendees. With over 300 submissions, each paper underwent rigorous review by at least three program committee members, leading to the selection of 119 high-quality papers from authors in 30 countries for presentation and publication. Additionally, eleven workshops were held alongside the main conference, resulting in over 100 papers published by the Austrian Computer Society. Gratitude is extended to the program committee members and external reviewers for their diligent evaluations, as well as the organizing committee for their administrative support. Special acknowledgment goes to Thomas Schierer for his unwavering assistance throughout the event.
