The popular epic Ramayana, by Valmiki, narrates the story of Lord Ramachandra, the incarnation of God, and His beautiful, faithful young wife, Sita. She asks to go with Him when He is exiled for fourteen years, and they live safely in the forest for twelve years. Then Sita is kidnapped by Ravana, one of the worst leaders the world has known.
