"Living Crafts. Preserving, passing on and developimg our common intangible heritage. International and national ambitions." The editors of this book, Eivind Falk and Hans-Jørgen Wallin Weihe, have invited project partners, craftsmen and the staff of the Norwegian Crafts Development (NHU) to contribute with articles about crafts and the process of gaining skills and knowledge in crafts. The reader of this book will meet such different traditional craftsmen as the blacksmith, the boat builder, the watchmaker and the maker of the traditional folk costumes. Since 1987 NHU has worked with traditional crafts in order to preserve, passing on and developing crafts as knowledge, means of expression and profession. In Living Crafts there are examples from some of the projects, the methodology and experiences of NHU. The examples comes from different geographical places, among them; Målselv, lillehammer, Osaka and Tblisi
