Capturing the imposing large-scale installation “Landscape of Transformation,” this examination portrays the Czech artist Magdalena Jetelová and how she has brought the explosive topic of human rights into the museum. With the help of numerous illustrations, this catalogue documents how Jetelová, in a project specially designed for the Kunsthalle Mannheim, has created a colossal “experience space” that confronts visitors with the relationship between law, injustice, and morality. The study details how the artist works on various levels—alongside optical mises-en-scène with mirrors and black light and even addressing her topic through the media of writing and speech.
