Kristýna is a housewife and aspiring actress with many aspirations for the future; however, trapped under the regime of communist Czechoslovakia, she is forced to work under their occupation. Born to traitorous parents, Kristýna would be persecuted if she doesn't bend her will to the regime. Yet upon arriving at her new place of work, she meets someone that offers her liberation, a chance to subtly rebel against all those who oppress her. Will Kristýna choose safety and peace, or love and rebellion in the arms of another? Do Not Blame God is a collection of historical fiction short stories, interwoven together to depart an impactful and emotional message. Centred around Kristýna, stories branch out from her own narrative to explore a breadth of characters, places and situations, exploring the limits of human forgiveness.
