In his thirties, musician Tal Linden is bipolar, addicted to drugs, and has spent more than half his life teetering on the edge of an insurmountable abyss. When his girlfriend Hanna leaves him, Tal loses his last anchor and retreats, alienated from the people he loves, to a cabin in the mountains to indulge in what he calls his "great catharsis." However, in the landscape still buried in snow in early March, he gradually loses himself in the past and threatens to disappear into the dark, inscrutable corners of his refuge. In "Snowburial," Michael J. J. Kogler not only tells this hopeless chapter in the protagonist's life but also explores how he became the person he is, the tragedy of his great love, and the story of a group of friends who became lost somewhere along the way.
