With a preface by Dr. Ulf E. Sundberg the book is for readers of English, by the same author who first wrote about the Swedish kings and queens from the 10th century till today in this language. Here, the English text can be read aloud for children and others without a phonetic steeplechase among names of people and places that are difficult or impossible to pronounce in English. (The text is also given in Swedish, for Swedes.) A fantastic array of images in color is presented, never used like this before and possible largely thanks to a formidable donation since 2016 by the National Museum of Sweden to Wikimedia Commons. When you read about the monarch on the right, an enlargement of his or her face looks at you from the left. Illustrated fact boxes and complete chapters on the dynasties and graves are also included.
