This is backed up by many major projects being awarded to international architects and that most Chinese practitioners have studied or worked abroad. Architects in China depict a new era where personal experiences and local context are incorporated into recent works. Private architectural practice is still a relatively new concept in China. Architects are still in the process of developing a design language that responds to the speed and size of the country's growth while respecting the local site.
