Throughout Scripture God uses symbolism to teach His children about their walk with Him and their heritage as Christians. Within these pages you'll discover the colorful symbolism encapsulated within the Breastplate of Judgment worn by the High Priest in the Old Testament. Just as the High Priest of the Old Testament symbolizes Jesus Christ, the properties of the stones on the Breastplate symbolize the characteristics God is looking for in His royal priesthood, the members of His mighty army. If we emulate these characteristics we can become precious stones in God's eyes just as Malachi 3:17 depicts, "'And they shall be mine, ' said the Lord of Host, 'in that day when I make up my jewels.'" In this world of violence, wars, evil, and injustice God is looking for a people that will be His shining light.
