The Founding Fathers of the United States, all wealthy white men, believed they were the only ones entitled to govern. They limited suffrage to male, white property owners, a method that ultimately failed and was overthrown by the poor, women, and people of color. While most of us now have the right to vote, the transparency of our elections remains compromised. The Founding Fathers, despite their intelligence, anticipated the failure of their first control method and created a second: a republic where a small group of elected representatives implements the will of the people. This Handbook presents a plan to dismantle this corrupt system and establish a true representative democracy. As our nation faces the looming crises of climate change and resource depletion, traditional methods like protests and letters to unresponsive representatives are inadequate. It is time to adopt more forceful strategies to reclaim our democracy.
