Więcej o książce
In the last fifteen years, ever since Croatia became an independent republic, there has been an increase in the number and size of her national parks. All these changes are covered in the texts, photographs and maps of this new edition. And just as the parks themselves have been enlarged and enriched, so too has this book been enriched with many high quality new photographs. However, this book cannot do more than cover a small part of Croatia’s natural heritage which is exceptionally varied and precious, and the parks are the best way of preserving and presenting it. Three parks show the beauty and richness of the Croatian coast and undersea area (Kornati, Mljet and Brijuni), three present the Croatian mountain regions (Paklenica, North Velebit and Risnjak), and two show Croatia’s unique karst which is known far beyond Croatian frontiers (Plitvice Lakes and the Krka).
