This practical short grammar offers an overview of language tradition, writing systems, and the fundamentals of phonetics, morphology, and syntax, with transliteration for beginners. The content is presented in a practical, often tabular format, making it suitable for instructors to use as a foundation for advanced teaching. It covers aspects such as phonetics, morphology, and syntax, incorporating selected new literature while focusing on synchronous representation. Diachronic facts are discussed only when they provide pedagogical assistance for beginners. All languages are presented in transliteration to ensure easier access for newcomers. The series targets students and educators in Indo-European studies, individual philologies, and general linguistics, as well as those from other disciplines, including school students, teachers, and laypersons. Each volume ranges from approximately 80 to 150 pages. The first volume covers Classical Sanskrit, followed by Gothic, Hittite, and Middle Welsh, with additional volumes on Continental Celtic languages, Old Church Slavonic, Old Persian, and Vedic Sanskrit in preparation.
