Cayce Varin, a distinguished Professor of AI-neuroscience and Theory of Mind, holds dissident views that clash with the accepted norms of Human Biologicals and the Federation of Pandemos. After sharing his unconventional theories with a Graduate Student Assistant, he is labeled a Thought Deviationist and arrested by a Robot Police Agent.
