Więcej o książce

''Foliage'' contains one hundred luscious colour photographs of the beauty found in plant life - a collection of stunning images that allow us to examine in exquisite detail nature’s exotic curves, colours and lines, from fiddlehead ferns and thorny seeds, to mottled leaves and vivid fruit. An introduction by the gardening author Sydney Eddison explores the cultural significance of plants while revealing the subtle ways in which they touch our daily lives. Horticultural commentaries by Greg Piotrowski precede each plant grouping, and brief descriptions of the individual species are numbered to correspond to the photographs. These notes include how-to hints about cultivation, cultural and historical facts, medicinal uses and colourful literary references.
