Rook chose to take her best friends on an adventure vacation in Peru for her eighteenth birthday. When the group discovers an unexplored cave in the ruins of Machu Picchu, they find much more than they bargained for. Caught up in a swirling vortex, they are unceremoniously dumped out in a world beyond their wildest imaginings. This new world is a magical place full of pristine forests, tall, amazingly gorgeous people, fairytale creatures, and kingdoms untouched by the modern world. This other world is also plagued by a curse that divided the three main kingdoms thus separating families, friends, and loved ones by turning them into being who can't co-exist. One species being magic welders, one being what we humans would call vampires and the last what we'd consider werewolves. Unbeknownst to our intrepid explorers, Rook is the key to breaking the curse. Her coming was prophesied long ago and the only hope of reuniting the three fractions that were once one. Torn between, the arrogant, self-indulgent KingTrevillian of the warmbloods, who tries to force his will on Rook and King Eon, of the darklings, who has stolen her heart, Rook must find a way to bring these people together if she ever wants to get her friends and herself home. Will one young girl be able to handle the burden placed on her or will their love destroy her in the process?
