Prakticko-teologická reflexe Jednou z oblastí, v níž církve po roce 1989 obnovily svou činnost, bylo zdravotnictví. V nemocnicích začala být postupně zaváděna tzv. duchovní péče poskytovaná nemocničními kaplany z různých církví. Dnes je již duchovní péče etablovaná v celé řadě nemocnic v České republice a dostává se do povědomí lidí jako nedílná součást celkové péče o pacienta.
