The author signed the same contract as every other producer: "If the consumer is harmed by the product, the producer is liable." Island se obává blížící se ekonomické katastrofy a zhroucení celé společnosti. Na trhu se objeví schránky, v nichž neplyne čas. Lidé se do nich zavírají v naději, že krizi přečkají, aniž by zestárli.
