Set in a prehistoric world, the story follows Ratha, a young herder of the Named, intelligent wild cats who protect their herds from the Un-Named, their rivals. Initially believing the Un-Named to be lesser beings, Ratha's perspective shifts after an encounter with a taunting raider. As she discovers a powerful ability, her life takes a turn when the clan leader banishes her. Now exiled, Ratha must learn to harness her newfound strength and navigate survival without the skills of a hunter.
