This elementary reading skills book is based on slightly adapted authentic texts, including newspaper and magazine articles, technical information, advertisements, humour and song lyrics. It is designed to develop a variety of reading skills and encourage students to enjoy reading English. It aims to activate vocabulary and improve students' ability to read for different purposes such as for gist and for detailed information. Various topics are covered so as to stimulate interest. These include travel, animals and health, fortune-telling, sport, fireworks, viewpoints of different generations, customs and beliefs, health, the sexes, changing times, work, helping the blind and modern technology.

Fast Forward is a series of four courses progressing from elementary to advanced level, which are specifically designed for adults on intensive courses of 60-80 hours. The courses are independent of each other, but are linked in philosophy and approach.
