Enfant terrible. Marzyciel. Geniusz. Kim był Alexander McQueen?Mówił o sobie,
że jest „pyskatym chuliganem ze wschodniego Londynu” i „różową owcą w
rodzinie”.Jego życie pod wieloma względami przypominało mroczną baśń.
Alexander McQueen. Krew pod skórą to opowieść o nieśmiałym, dziwnie
wyglądającym chłopcu z rodziny robotniczej, który wykorzystał swoją gotycką
wyobraźnię i stworzył wartą miliony dolarów luksusową markę, uwielbianą przez
kobiety na całym świecie.Swoje ekscentryczne, oryginalne, często perwersyjne
wizje przyoblekał w piękne tkaniny, tworząc zachwycające kreacje dla
największych sław i rodzin królewskich.

It is a privilege to be part of an organisation with such a rich heritage and exciting potential as the European Space Agency (ESA). The Agency is at a turning point in its history, so it is an appropriate moment to document and reflect on the many successes of the past and those still underway, while preparing to head in new directions for the future. The remarkable record stretches from humble beginnings in the 1960s to ESA’s leading position today among the front rank of space organisations, generating enormous benefits for its Member States and their citizens. The Agency has been responsible for developing systems that are now accepted as everyday – and profitable – parts of our lives, leading to the creation of new entities and companies responding to our needs. Travels through Afghanistan in 1959, a time when Russian influence was becoming increasingly apparent. Armed with a miniature camera and a knowledge of the language Andrew Wilson entered Afghanistan by a back door, and stumbled across the building, by Russian technicians, of a military airfield close to the Persian/Pakistan border; from then on he travelled through Afghanistan, crossing the Hindu Kush five times, the last time in a Russian aeroplane... Wilson portrays here the Afghan landscape in all its fierce beauty and squalor.
