Dokoła wielkie lasy, cieniste, szumiące, a w nich głębokie i ciche jeziora. Prześlicznie i cudownie było na wsi." źródło opisu: Nasza Księgarnia, 1979

A little sea princess, longing to be human, trades her mermaid's tail for legs, hoping to win the love of a prince and earn an immortal soul for herself.

"I love clothes," cries the Emperor, and he's not kidding. He doesn't care a fig for anything or anybody else--he doesn't have to, he's the Emperor. What a spoiled pig! He's so vain and stuck-up that he's the perfect target for two sly swindlers, who weave him a suit of clothes no one will ever forget--especially not the Emperor!

For over one hundred years The Ugly Duckling has been a childhood favorite, and Jerry Pinkney's spectacular new adaptation brings it triumphantly to new generations of readers. From 'The Little Mermaid' to 'The Red Shoes', his fables show the ugliest of humanity - its power, greed, vanity - but also how suffering can lead to beauty.

When she falls in love with the prince she rescues during a storm, the Little Mermaid sells her voice to a witch for the chance to become human. But if her prince doesn't love her back, she could lose it all . . .

Vrlo raskošno i kvalitetno izdanje bajki H.C. Andersena, lijepo opremljeno (pozlaćene stranice i tvrde korice) i ilustrirano.
