In recent years, the significance of innovation for organizational success has gained increased recognition. This publication explores the interdisciplinary nature of sustainable innovation, integrating economic, environmental, and social dimensions. It aims to present a global exchange of ideas, research findings, and practical experiences related to innovation, emphasizing the critical role of innovation management in a competitive global economy while addressing current challenges in innovation and entrepreneurship. In an economy driven by innovation, cross-sectoral cooperation is essential, fostering synergy among entities with diverse resources and competencies to generate innovative projects. Initially, the focus was on linking business and science, particularly in research and development, as the primary means of fueling the economy with innovative concepts and implementations. Over time, the public sector has emerged as a vital partner in shaping economic innovation, moving beyond its regulatory role to actively engage in collaborative efforts with the innovative business sector to stimulate local development. This publication will examine the triple helix model, which represents the most effective framework for generating innovation through cooperation among business, science, and government, contributing to the creation of an innovative economy.
