It is 1890, Vincent Van Gogh is living out his last days painting intensely and loving obsessively a morphine-addicted 19-year-old photographer called Ursula. By a quirk of fate she finds herself time-tripping to 1990s New York, where she dreams of Van Gogh and the century she has left behind.

Summoned to Machu Picchu, accompanied by Captain Haddock and Snowy, Tintin embarks on an adventure that will introduce him to the woman he will love, and come to realise that he has the power to become one with all living things.
