The Dolomites World Heritage Geotrail is a unique long-distance hiking trail that traverses the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage site. This guide provides detailed descriptions, accompanied by photos, maps, and sketches, of 10 stages through breathtaking, impressive, and largely untouched landscapes, ranging from the Cridola group to Spalti di Toro Monfalconi, Pramaggiore and Ressetum-Raut, Monte Duranno, and Monte Borgà, culminating at the mouth of the Valle del Vajont on the border between Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto. Geological highlights along the route offer readers and hikers insights into the area's unique geological history, the changes in the landscape over millions of years, and the key reasons for its designation as a World Natural Heritage site. This project was initiated by the Dolomites UNESCO Foundation and later expanded to encompass the entire Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage area.
