At an elite art school in New York, four artists become entangled in rivalry and desire amid the backdrop of a 2011 recession and the rise of Occupy Wall Street. Louisa Arceneaux, a thoughtful nineteen-year-old scholarship student, feels out of place in an environment that values novelty over beauty. When Preston orchestrates a provocative hoax, the lives of all four artists are disrupted, thrusting them into the competitive New York art scene. Each must navigate their identities in art and society while grappling with concepts of success, failure, and joy. Through a critical lens, the narrative challenges perceptions of class, money, and the struggles of a generation fighting to define their futures.
