In 1903, fishermen discover a wrecked boat with a severely beaten woman and a young girl, Harriet. They are taken to All Hallows, a secluded asylum on Dartmoor. While the woman remains in a coma, Harriet is placed in the care of Nurse Emma Everdeen in a quiet attic room. Fast forward to 1993, All Hallows has transformed into a boarding school. Lewis Tyler, sent away after his mother’s death and his father's quick remarriage, feels isolated in his new environment. There, he meets Isak, another boy facing his own struggles. As the school undergoes renovations, the boys find themselves confined to the attic, where they begin to uncover the haunting history of Harriet and Nurse Emma’s efforts to protect her. The echoes of the past resonate within the walls of All Hallows, filled with whispers and cries that refuse to fade. As Lewis and Isak delve deeper into the building's dark legacy, they encounter restless spirits that linger from the asylum days. The boys must confront these ghosts and seek to bring peace to All Hallows before the weight of history overwhelms them.
