Iceland From Above displays the landscapes of Iceland in one of the most breathtaking and meaningful ways, from the air. As the book emerges, the Bárðarbunga eruption is underway with vigorous activity in the Holuhraun area, enabling stunning aerial pictures to be included to show us the living earth at work. The aerial perspective allows us to see clearly the extent and grandeur of volcanic features, as well as glaciers and rivers and the spectacular landscapes they have eroded. Catastrophic volcanic events and associated floods of recent years such as in the volcanoes of Vatnajökull and Eyjafjallajökull are depicted with breathtaking photography.
