This third revised edition of an integrated course in elementary Japanese features 11 lessons designed to complete the basic level of the language. Each unit focuses on a specific topic, allowing students to practice vocabulary and grammar while balancing all communication skills through listening and speaking exercises. The volume covers essential language forms, including potential, passive, and causative, along with linguistic patterns such as かもしれません and ないで. The beginner level consists of two volumes with a total of 23 lessons, enabling students to express themselves in Japanese, understand simple texts, and learn 300 kanji and 1100 vocabulary words. Additionally, students will be prepared for levels 4 and 5 of the Noken JLPT official exam. This volume can be enhanced with a supplementary exercise book. The third edition introduces several improvements: updated dialogues and vocabulary that reflect contemporary usage, clearer grammar explanations, better-aligned practice exercises, and new tasks that encourage simple investigations to apply learned content. Notably, the CD has been removed, and all materials are now downloadable via a mobile app, with instructions provided in the book.
