Two years before Stranger Things Season 4, Eddie Munson, leader of the Hellfire Club and a metalhead outcast in Hawkins, Indiana, finds himself at a crossroads. For most, Hawkins is a picturesque all-American town, but for Eddie, it feels like a never-ending Tomb of Horrors. With only a few months left at Hawkins High, senior year is a blur of Dungeons & Dragons sessions and band gigs. Everything changes when he meets Paige at a local dive bar. Paige has escaped Hawkins and carved out a vibrant life in Los Angeles, working for a record producer. She appreciates Eddie for who he truly is, rather than the outcast label he carries. Most importantly, she offers him a chance to succeed by helping him record a demo tape for his band, Corroded Coffin. The catch? He needs money for recording, something he lacks. Desperate, Eddie turns to his estranged father, Al Munson, who has returned with yet another dubious scheme. Eddie knows this is his best shot to raise the funds quickly. It’s a risky move, but if it pays off, he could finally leave Hawkins behind. Eddie is convinced that 1984 will be his year.
