Więcej o książce

Once many years ago when I was a naive young adventurer, I thought that the best way to travel was look at a map, set a schedule and stick to it, no matter what the distractions along the way. After some years of this, I went to the opposite extreme, and wandered Australia without too many fixed objectives and without much of a timetable either. I looked at the landscape as I travelled, and stopped at likely places for as long as it took me to record images of the sights I saw and the people I met. Today, like most people who open this book, I travel with limited time and on a set budget, and I can rarely spare as much time as I would like to spend at special places. So I take photographs as I go, and, when I reach home and view the images I have taken, I have the pleasure of discovering my favourite places all over again. "The Australia Guide" is the book I wish had been available when I was planning my first expedition all those years ago. It showcases the highlights of Australia's cities, rural lands, national parks, and outback, describing their exact locations and attractions in pictures and words. Steve Parish
