In the Preface to volume xi, the author explains the decision to separate the material of this volume from that of volume xii due to technical constraints related to bookbinding. The parallel specimens are printed on sheets that require a specific mounting method, akin to atlas maps, allowing for convenient handling. Initially, there was an intention to print these specimens in polychromy, as mentioned in previous papers, but this was abandoned due to high costs. Instead, various types of print will be used to distinguish the specimens, though this may present its own challenges. The author expresses gratitude to Mr. Horace Hart, the Controller of the University Press, for his assistance. The publisher, Forgotten Books, specializes in reproducing rare and classic works, employing advanced technology to digitally reconstruct texts while maintaining their original format. While most imperfections from the original copies are repaired, some are intentionally left intact to preserve the historical integrity of the work.
