The book by Venetian Alberto Toso Fei is a guide to the myths and mysteries of Venice. It consists of seven routes through all six historical districts of Venice, detailing streets and including detailed maps. However, the "core" around which the walks are organized is not the history of architectural monuments and styles of painting, as in typical guides, but urban legends. Since almost all these legends feature historical figures and ghosts appear in historical locations, the author appropriately provides "ordinary" informative content: he tells the history of Venice and describes its most famous architectural monuments.
