1547. In a little German town a few young women are found mutilated. Another young woman,Freyja Säckler, finds herself accused of witchcraft and murder. Lapidius the alchemist is appointed with the job of taking care of Freya and bring her back to life after a terrible torture session in order to keep on being interrogated about her misdeeds.
