A million lives on the planet Priamos hang in the balance, marked for death unless one individual can be found. For nearly two centuries, their massive ship, The Ashanome, has pursued a traitor who fled into human space after violating an ancient rite. Through a process called Asuthi, their minds are melded, allowing them to share language, emotions, and secrets. United, they must navigate the dangerous surface of Priamos to locate and eliminate the offender. With time running out, the trio faces the daunting task of finding a single individual among millions.
