Paris, times of the Great Emigration after November Uprising. Poles have huge problems with living abroad – they don't know the language and French authorities don't look at them with sympathy. And suddenly a mysterious Lithuanian appears - he heals Mickiewicz's mentally ill wife and convinces everyone that he's a Messiah. He promises Poles the ressurection of their homeland if they will live in a similar way as Christ. Supporters of the Messiah start God's Case Association and Mickiewicz delivers a cycle of lectures on it at Collège de France. Special assigment is given to Gerszon Ram: he has to convince the Pope in Rome and rabbis in Jerusalem for the Case.
